Powerful Dual Feed Wheels

Bandit’s Model 255XP is equipped with two horizontal 635 mm wide x 270 mm diameter hydraulic feed wheels powered by large hydraulic motors. The powerful dual wheel feed system makes it easy to chip large diameter material and multiple stems. It also makes it easy to feed limby material, reducing the need for trimming. Because the wheels are horizontal, gravity helps spread out the material, maximizing the surface area of the feed wheels. All Bandit® chippers have the widest possible in-feed hopper openings for disc or drum diameter and length. The Model 255XP Brush Bandit® chippers have a 380 mm high x 635 mm wide in-feed throat opening.

Patented In-feed Chute Lift Assists

The heavy-duty 1.6 m wide hopper on the Model 255XP has a standard spring loaded lift assist, making it easy to raise and lower the in-feed hopper of the chipper. A heavy-duty, fixed position weld-on in-feed tray is optional.

Time-Saving Options

There are options, such as loaders and winches, that make it easy to feed larger materials into the chipper. Being able to feed heavier pieces into the chipper eliminates the need for, and cost of, cutting the material to short lengths to be hand-fed.

Torflex EZ-lubes Axles

  • The Model 255XP with 4-cylinder engine is equipped with an 4.5 ton single axle with 215/75R 17.5, 16-ply tires.
  • The Model 255XP with 6-cylinder engine is equipped with a tandem 3.2 ton axles with ST235/80R16, 10-ply tires.
